I often look for sound, particular sound. Usually I won´t find the sound I´m looking for but at times I get close. This album is the result of searching for sound in my own house. My old upright has not gotten much love for many years but in december I started to look upon it with favour. Finally on thursday, the eleventh of december 2014 I recorded eight songs and here they are, with all the moaning and singing of my upright. I let the piano decide where the music would go and every song is just one take, one improv. where I tried to avoid certain bad sounds but just letting it flow.

This album is something you either love or hate, but I suggest to you to listen through a couple of times, cause after awhile the moaning of my upright becomes a percussive element in the music.

The names of the songs are related to the eight hours of monastic prayer, a theme that I admire greatly.
